For 15 years, winning one of the coveted trophies of the “Sauvignon Selection by CMB” (formerly Concours Mondial du Sauvignon) has been tantamount to being crowned world champion. Year after year, the international wine competition attracts winemakers from around 20 countries worldwide – including destinations such as France, New Zealand and South Africa. More than 1,000 Sauvignon Blancs are evaluated by an international jury of experts according to strict criteria. Since 2016, the South Styrian winegrowers have been able to claim one of the prestigious trophies for their Sauvignon Blancs almost every year.
At first glance, we “World Master Winemakers” are a “colorful bunch” of different characters with different approaches to winemaking. At second glance, however, we are all winemakers with a great passion for Sauvignon Blancs, which have just as much character as we do.
